The GPIB-SPRC-S kit is an external GPIB interface kit for SPARC-basedworkstations. The kit includes the GPIB-SCSI-A Controller, the NI-488.2Mmultitasking software, and a SCSI cable. The GPIB-SCSI-A is a full-function IEEE 488.2 Controller that interfaces 14 GPIB instruments to theSPARC-based workstation from its external SCSI port. The NI-488.2Msoftware package includes device drivers for both Solaris 1 and Solaris2. The NI488.2M software is called from high-level functions; therefore,it is not necessary to program the hardware interface or become an experton the IEEE 488 bus management protocol.
